Can Chiropractic help with Erectile Dysfunction?

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is one of the most common disorders affecting men today. Research indicates that 40% of men between the ages of 40 and 70 have experienced ED in some form, costing the US healthcare system $330 million in 2000.

ED occurs when one of three physiological systems are not functioning properly: the central nervous system, the peripheral nervous system, or the penile and arterial trabecular smooth muscles. Lifestyle choices such as lack of exercise, poor diet, and smoking can also play a role in ED.

Subluxation disrupts the proper function of the central nervous system. The following case study set out to examine how correcting subluxation in the lumbar spine improved ED naturally in a 53-year-old man. The man had been experiencing ED since the age of 22. A thorough evaluation of his spine revealed subluxations in his low back that were interfering with his ability to function properly!

After only 4 adjustments in a six-week period, the patient stated that he already saw a longer and more noticeable improvement in his symptoms than he had seen with the medication he had been taking for years!
