What is Chiropractic Care?

At its core, Chiropractic is a philosophy of health, a science of the nervous system and spine, and an art of helping people regain their health naturally. It recognizes that all organic systems in the universe are conscious, self-developing, self-maintaining, and self-healing.

Chiropractic believes that the body works best when the nervous system is free of harmful interferences, which cause malfunction, symptoms and diseases, and reduced quality of life. It observes that there are three interferences: physical trauma, emotional stresses, and environmental toxins. These interferences cause subluxation. Chiropractors correct subluxation, allowing the nervous system to function more normally, releasing the body’s innate potential to regain health naturally and paving the way for a full expression of wellness throughout life.

Health is more than simply the absence of disease. Doctors of Chiropractic are experts on the nerve system (brain and spinal cord) and how it coordinates the activities of every cell and system of the body. Ensuring there is clear communication to all systems, chiropractors help people experience more of their innate potential for optimum health and performance.

Life Chiropractic Centers…

From the first time Life University students enter our clinic doors, we work to create a healthcare team to support caring, quality healthcare to people. After years of rigorous academic preparation, the chiropractic students become interns, assisting the faculty doctors at the Life University campus clinic.

The faculty Doctors of Chiropractic have decades of experience taking care of patients and teaching clinical skills that prepare students for their chosen profession. Students and faculty work together from a vitalistic view of healthcare that respects the self-healing, self-maintaining nature of life. They begin to perfect that “team care” approach as they provide chiropractic services to patients. Faculty Doctors of Chiropractic, student interns, and clinic office staff work together to guide you toward the best choices for you.

In addition to regular Chiropractic and condition-based care, we believe that good nutrition, regular exercise, emotional support, and recovery care are essential to support our daily living activities. By bringing together a team of chiropractors, chiropractic support staff, interns, registered dietitians, and wellness coaches, we provide the kind of comprehensive care patients, and clients need to support and enhance every aspect of their health. We encourage you to be an active partner and participate fully.

At your first appointment with us, there will be a thorough review of your personal health history and how the “team care” at the Center can best address your unique health needs. If digital imaging services are indicated, that may happen on the first visit. At the follow-up visit, you meet with the team, look at a care plan that works for you, and hear your personalized report of findings. Ready to begin? Call or fill out the form below. We are here to help!
